  • Earn a State of Illinois High School Diploma
  • Connect to employment and job training opportunities

The 成人教育 Department's next start-date for ESL and GED classes is Monday, August 26, 2024.

  • Morning classes meet from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Evening classes meet from 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

AE faculty and staff assist adult learners to acquire the academic and employment skills to be college and career ready and to realize their full potential, 所以个人, 家庭, and communities can thrive.

Adult education programs include:

    • English as Second Language (ESL) for adults who want to learn to speak, read, and write English at all levels
    • State of Illinois High School Diploma for adults preparing for the GED® and  HiSET® exams. 
    • 公民身份 for immigrants who are preparing for the naturalization test and interview
    • Access to Literacy for adults who wish to improve their basic reading, writing, math, or English conversation skills
    • 准备好! for adult education students who want to transition to college, training, or employment. A variety of courses and resources help ESL and GED students improve language, literacy and math skills while applying their learning to a career field

      • Integrated Education and Training (IET)
      • Career Awareness and Career Exploration

        • Board of Trustees Scholarship - The scholarship covers 12 college credits of in-district tuition and some 费用 for any subject. 学生 who will maintain the GPA of least 3.0 the first year are eligible for an additional 12 credits for another year.         • Westlake Health Foundation 成人教育 Scholarship - To be eligible, students must be interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Adult education programs are made possible by state and federal grants received from the Illinois Community College Board and by the generous support of 澳门赌博平台.

Requirements to Enroll: 

        • Must be an Illinois resident
        • Provide a picture ID with current address
        • Must be at least 16 years old and not enrolled in high school. High School withdrawal form (下载).

Classes are not open to individuals on temporary and student visas.
